That thing was so loud, even with 50% effort and no stone in. If you are struggling to crack your sling (pan sling) don't focus on throwing harder, rather work on fluidity of motion, a light grip, an intentional release, and making sure you don't have too much. The characteristic whip-crack sound that a sling can make when slinging is largely due to the use of a cracker or integrated tassel at the end of the release cord. In our testing, the pan cracker is louder and easier to crack on the pan sling than a standard cracker. We don't recommend starting to sling with a cracker, but once you have the basics.
